Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Dallas is seeking a part-time Cook / Kitchen Associate to prepare and cook pizzas, handle food prep, and deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen. The role requires reliable, customer-focused team players and adherence to food safety standards.

This position is non-exempt, with no benefits, up to 29 hours per week, and requires availability Wednesdays and Sundays with occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in food prep and cooking in a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting.
• Previous Food and Beverage industry experience
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and carry items while walking
• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Preps, cooks and fulfills orders
• Support for catering events and catering pickup orders
• Requires working on Wednesdays and Sundays and occasional evenings when necessary
• Adhere to standard operating procedures for food quality and food handling.
• Keeps a Registered Food Manager's certificate current.

PartTime Regular Manual Labor Jewish Community Center Dallas, Dallas, TX, US

Salary Range: $16.00 To $20.00 Hourly

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas, general food prep, and ensuring high-quality food meets our standards. The role also involves providing excellent customer service, handling food orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

This is a part-time position with opportunity to grow into full-time. Wednesdays and Sundays are a must. This position is classified as part-time, non-exempt with no benefits. This position will not exceed 29 hours a week. The Jewish Community Center is an EOE (equal opportunity employer).

Essential Functions:

• Preps, cooks and fulfills orders
• Support for catering events and catering pickup orders
• Requires working on Wednesdays and Sundays and occasional evenings when necessary
• Adhere to standard operating procedures for food quality and food handling.

• Performs other duties assigned by the Food Service Director.
