Job summary

The Mindful Café seeks an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations, develop the team, strengthen the coffee and beverage program and move the business toward sustainable profitability. This role is not a shift-management position but an operator role with ownership over performance.

The General Manager will oversee staffing, POS systems, menu execution and SOP development, aiming to deliver consistent, high-quality service while preserving the café’s neighborhood character.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of restaurant/café or comparable food-service experience.
• At least 3 years in a meaningful management role.
• Demonstrated responsibility for employees and daily operations.
• Experience scheduling labor, managing inventory and ordering.
• Strong communication, judgment, organization and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve financial performance and move the café toward profitability.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience with coffee and beverages as a core part of the café.
• Build, train and lead a strong, accountable team.
• Create reliable systems for consistent execution and SOPs.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, inventory, vendor management and cash-control procedures.
• Support catering and private-events execution and owner communication.
