Columbus Technical College is hiring a Cafe' & Catering Operations Assistant under the Federal Work Study program. The role supports the Culinary Arts café and catering services, handling admin tasks, inventory, and event coordination on campus.

You will gain practical experience in hospitality management, purchasing, and cost control while assisting faculty and improving program operations. This position is on-campus within the Culinary Arts Division.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a student at Columbus Technical College
• Must have FAFSA completed and be eligible for federal aid
• Must complete a Federal Work-Study Employment Application

Responsibilities

• Organize storage areas and maintain inventory records
• Update recipes, costing spreadsheets, production schedules, and other op docs
• Maintain digital and physical files, customer records, and catering paperwork
• Assist with catering logistics: packing lists, equipment, supplies, inventory
• Support purchasing and cost control through vendor price updates and inventory monitoring
• Assist marketing by creating menus, signage, promotional materials, digital boards
• Collect and maintain operational data including production records and feedback

Completed FAFSA and eligible for federal aid
