Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Student Life Dining Services is seeking a Fall Semester Temporary Sales Assistant to greet customers, operate coffee equipment, and prepare gourmet coffee and food orders on campus in Columbus.

This 25-hour-per-week position handles cash, credit or Buck ID payments, prepares sales reports, takes daily inventory, stocks shelves, and maintains a clean, sanitary service area under supervision for a term not to exceed 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and serve on-campus dining guests.
• Operate coffee equipment and prepare gourmet coffee and specialty drinks.
• Prepare and handle food and beverage orders.
• Process payments by cash, credit or Buck ID.
• Prepare sales reports and take daily inventory.
• Stock shelves, freezers, and coolers; maintain clean and sanitary service area.
• Make decisions under supervision according to policies and procedures.
