Miss Lucille’s Café in Clarksville, TN is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead front-of-house, back-of-house, and coffee shop operations during assigned shifts. This role supports the management team while ensuring guest service, food quality, safe operations, and a positive team environment.

You will coach and motivate staff, ensure prompt, friendly service, and oversee opening/closing, cash handling, and deposits. A strong hospitality mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• One+ year of restaurant operations or food-service management experience.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of POS, scheduling, inventory, and cash-handling procedures.
• Valid Tennessee ABC Card or ability to obtain one.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Open availability, including days, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead FOH, BOH, and coffee shop operations during assigned shifts.
• Delegate tasks and maintain appropriate staffing and coverage.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality food and beverage service.
• Coach, train, support, and motivate team members.
• Resolve guest concerns and operational problems promptly.
• Complete and verify opening, closing, cash, and deposit procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety standards.
• Support inventory, ordering, scheduling, and labor-cost management.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and maintain clear shift-to-shift communication.
• Promote teamwork and cross-training throughout the café.
