Job summary

Molex in Lisle, IL, seeks an enthusiastic CAE Engineer to perform structural simulations and optimization for high-speed interconnect products. You will conduct nonlinear FEA using Hypermesh/LS-DYNA, Abaqus, or ANSYS, and collaborate with design engineers to ensure targets are met.

You will publish papers and patents, lead global teams, and work with vendors. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and 1+ year CAE experience are required; MS/PhD and 3+ years are preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or related engineering.
• 1+ years with LS-DYNA, ABAQUS, or ANSYS.
• 1+ years with Altair Hypermesh/Hyperview.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Perform nonlinear structural FEA for short fiber reinforced plastics and copper alloy interconnects.
• Deliver reliable FEA results to design engineers with clear presentations.
• Provide design recommendations to improve structural performance based on FEA.
• Correlate simulations to real-world tests and improve modeling methods.
• Develop new FEA techniques and collaborate with vendors to improve accuracy.
• Lead development of new products and oversee global teams.
• Publish technical papers and patents.
