Luster National is seeking a CADD Specialist for our heavy civil infrastructure programs in New York, NY. The role involves supporting highways, bridges, rail, aviation, and water/wastewater projects with CAD drawings and exhibits.

The position requires verifying submissions against CADD standards, maintaining controlled drawing sets, and producing detailed figures to support design and documentation. Collaboration and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting and design technology, CAD, civil engineering technology, construction management, or related field or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 5+ years of CADD experience for large (> $500M), complex, heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Review drawing sets against CADD standards and log nonconformance.
• Check plan sets for completeness, cross-referencing, scale, and datum consistency.
• Maintain controlled drawing set with revision control and file release.
• Develop drawings, exhibits, and figures in CADD to support the program team.
• Mark up plan sheets with design review comments and track changes.
• Verify as-built drawings reflect approved changes and field directives.
• Assist in quantity takeoffs by measuring from approved plans.
• Coordinate drawing files across adjacent contracts and disciplines for consistency.
• Confirm reference to survey control, coordinate system, and datum before acceptance.
• Manage CADD files in the common data environment with version control.
