Job summary

Luster National in California is seeking a high-caliber CADD Specialist to support large heavy civil programs, including highways, bridges, rail, and water projects. You will verify drawings against CADD standards, maintain controlled sets, and develop exhibits and figures to support decisions.

This role covers multiple experience levels, with responsibilities increasing by seniority. Strong software proficiency (Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, Revit) and collaboration with design teams

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in drafting or related field.
• 5+ years CADD for large heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and topographic surveys.
• Proficiency with CADD software and document management tools.
• Experience with plan sets and cross sections.

Responsibilities

• Review drawing sets against CADD standards and log nonconformance.
• Check plan sets for completeness, cross-referencing, scale, and datum.
• Maintain controlled drawing set with revision control and logging.
• Develop drawings and exhibits in CADD to support the program team.
• Compile and mark up plan sheets with design review comments.
• Verify as-built drawings reflect approved changes before final record set.
• Support quantity verification by taking off dimensions and areas.
• Coordinate drawing files across adjacent contracts and disciplines.
• Confirm reference to survey control and datum before acceptance.
• Manage CADD files in the program’s data environment and file structure.
• Reconcile files between Autodesk and Bentley formats.
