Job summary

Morris County Aftercare Center (MCAC) in Denville, NJ is seeking a Counselor Intern to support individual and group substance abuse counseling for clients on MAT. You will help develop treatment plans, perform intake and assessments, and coordinate case management to foster recovery.

Qualifications

• Currently attending CADC classes or have completed coursework.
• 6 months of relevant experience.
• Case management skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling for a caseload of patients on MAT.
• Develop a comprehensive treatment plan aligned with care plans and court stipulations.
• Conduct intake, assessments, and ongoing case management services.
• Refer clients to community and agency services as needed and provide psycho-educational classes.
• Maintain client charts per licensure standards and participate in discharge planning.
• Attend case conferences and present cases at multidisciplinary team meetings.
