Job summary

Behavioral Crossroads Recovery in New Jersey is seeking a full-time Counselor Intern to join the treatment team and provide clinical services under the supervision of the Regional Clinical Director.

The role includes intakes, risk/needs assessments and development of service plans for all clients on the caseload, with plan implementation subject to review. CADC or working toward CADC is preferred, along with 1 year of related experience and NJ SAMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• CADC or working towards CADC.
• At least 1 year experience preferred; NJ SAMS experience also preferred.
• Experience with addictive behaviors and basic understanding of human behavior.
• Knowledge of social learning theory and CBT; assessment and evaluation skills; ability to train and mentor; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes and risk/needs assessments.
• Develop service plans for clients under caseload.
• Implement plans subject to review by Treatment Team/Regional Clinical Director.
• Provide clinical services and support to clients, with clear communication.
