Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of CAD/design experience
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
• Experience managing employee schedules, approving timecards, coordinating time-off requests, and conducting employee evaluations
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of employees within the department
• Serve as a role model and trusted resource for team members
• Manage employee schedules and workforce planning
• Approve timecards and PTO requests
• Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
• Participate in leadership meetings and help drive departmental goals
• Create a safety-focused work environment
• Design and develop lifting devices, tooling, fixtures, and specialized equipment using CAD
• Create and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and operational requirements
• Support project planning and equipment layouts
