Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in East Moline, IL to drive 3D CAD design using Creo from concept to delivery. You will design tooling, fixtures, and weldments for multiple client applications while coordinating timelines and resources with customers.

You will influence engineering standards, mentor other engineers, and have opportunities to grow into broader leadership roles within a collaborative team and a growth-focused organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 4+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in Creo for 3D CAD modeling.
• Experience designing tooling and fixturing.
• Project management skills for end-to-end delivery.
• Experience weldment design and fabrication considerations.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D CAD models and mechanical designs in Creo for customer applications.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through delivery, including timelines and resources.
• Design tooling and die fixtures meeting performance, manufacturability, and safety needs.
• Develop weldments that are structurally sound and cost-efficient per customer specs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence engineering standards and workflows.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
