Job summary

Team Fishel, the Best Choice in utility engineering and construction, is hiring a CAD Technician for the Hampton, VA office. You will work with engineering, right of way, land survey and permitting staff to produce high-quality graphics and communicate specifications to the design team.

The role requires AutoCAD proficiency, ability to complete markups, prepare plans, and assist with submittals while maintaining QA/QC standards. Travel regionally between PSG offices may be required.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD knowledge and production skills required.
• Complete markups and accurate graphics preparation.
• Set up and prepare plans; provide submittal assistance; QA/QC adherence.
• Experience with electrical distribution or utility design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality graphics for engineering, right of way, land survey and permitting teams.
• Verbally communicate specifications and directions to the design team and staff.
• Support submittals, QA/QC processes, and travel between PSG offices as needed.

Description

Team Fishel , the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring a CAD Technician for our Professional Services Group's (PSG) Hampton, VA office.

The CAD Technician will be responsible for working closely with the engineering, right of way, land survey and permitting staff to produce high quality graphics and be able to verbally communicate specifications and directions to and from the design team.

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

• AutoCAD knowledge, experience, and skills
• Complete markups
• Report graphics preparation
• Set-up and prepare plans
• Provide assistance with submittals
• Experience with electrical distribution design and/or utility design a plus
• Maintain QA/QC processes and requirements
• Ability to travel regionally between PSG offices
