Job summary

LJA is seeking a CAD Technician II to provide drafting support for civil engineering projects. You will work independently on assigned tasks, leveraging Civil 3D skills and CAD knowledge within a collaborative team environment.

Applicants should have 2+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to changing project needs. This on-site role offers growth within LJA Land Development and exposure to diverse clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Technical knowledge of CAD operations.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Flexible to changes in assignments on short notice.
• Experience operating large-format printers (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Create CAD drawings for civil projects.
• Prepare plan and profile sheets.
• Modify maps for assignments.
• Complete redline markups.
• Support project team with CAD updates.
• Coordinate with field and office staff.
• Assist with erosion control design basics.
• Maintain CAD project schedules.
