Job summary

Fervo Energy is hiring a CAD Specialist to own the CAD program and PLM backbone across its Powerblock portfolio. The role requires leading drawing standards, templates, and data governance, ensuring consistent quality from design through IFC and as-built.

The position emphasizes EDMS discipline, enterprise integration, and scalable processes across geographies, located in Houston, TX with the potential for cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in CAD, engineering data management, or design delivery in industrial sectors.
• Experience building CAD standards, drawing templates, and document governance from scratch.
• Expert in at least one major CAD platform and fluent across P&ID, drawings, civil/structural, electrical, mechanical.
• Direct PLM or PDM experience: data model configuration, revision workflows, BOM management, or enterprise integration.

Responsibilities

• Build Fervo's CAD standards from the ground up, including drawing conventions and file management across engineering modules.
• Stand up and integrate a PLM/PDM backbone (ERP, procurement, asset management) for clean data flow.
• Own EDMS and transmittal workflow end-to-end: submittals, reviews, RFIs, redlines, and IFC issuance.
• Drive standardization across engineering modules and ensure feedback loops between design and field execution.
