Job summary

Fervo Energy, Houston-based, seeks a senior CAD/PLM specialist to define and lead our CAD standards, PLM backbone, and document governance across the Powerblock portfolio. You will own the EDMS, transmittals, and data integration between PLM and ERP, enabling scalable digital thread across projects.

The role emphasizes building from scratch, ensuring robust drawing lifecycle ownership, and driving standardization to improve efficiency and quality across future plants.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in CAD, engineering data management, or design delivery in industrial/energy contexts.
• Expert in at least one major CAD platform and able to manage P&IDs, general arrangements, and electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Direct PLM/PDM experience: data models, revision workflows, BOM management, and ERP integration.

Responsibilities

• Build the CAD Program with standards, drawing templates, blocks, and file management across modules.
• Implement the plant design process chain and integrate tools with downstream systems.
• Drive 3D model-based approaches, clash detection, constructability reviews, and as-built capture.
• Stand up a PLM/PDM platform; define data models, numbering, and revision workflows.
• Own EDMS/Transmittal workflow end-to-end and enforce document governance.
