Job summary

Menasha Corporation in York, PA is seeking a CAD Operator to create CAD files for steel rule dies and tooling used by automated manufacturing equipment. You will design structural folding cartons, prepare prototypes and drawings, and ensure accurate manufacturing instructions.

You will review orders for machinability, source materials, and collaborate with suppliers in a fast-paced, production-driven environment to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD files to be used directly with automated manufacturing equipment in the production of steel rule dies and associated tooling.
• Create structural designs of folding cartons using CAD.
• Prepare structural prototypes, dimensioned drawings, manufacturing and use instructions.
• Review detailed order information and evaluate for machinability and production of tooling.
• Research specification, materials and application requirements for projects as needed.
• Clearly communicate information needed for manufacturing based on specific requirements of each job.
• Coordinate with outside suppliers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors.
