Job summary

Maysteel is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our Engineering team in Wisconsin. You will create and modify 3D models and production drawings, support design-for-manufacturability, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to bring projects from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical CAD drafting and 3D modeling, proficiency with Pro/E and/or SolidWorks (Revit a plus), and strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical CAD drafting and 3D modeling experience.
• Strong core drafting skills to read, interpret, modify, and dimension drawings.
• 3–5 years of experience with Pro/E and/or SolidWorks; certification in either is a plus.
• Revit modeling experience is strongly preferred.
• CSWPA-SM certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D production drawings.
• Interpret customer CAD models and modify for manufacturability and cost improvement.
• Develop flat-pattern and formed-view drawings.
• Support engineering changes, revisions, BOMs, and release processes.
• Troubleshoot drawing and design issues related to manufacturing.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to maintain accurate models and revisions.
• Participate in new product and NRE projects, including design and DFM implementation.
