About the Role

We’re looking for a CAD Operator II to join our growing Manhattan-based design team. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong drafting experience in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM, and a collaborative mindset.

You’ll support a variety of projects focused on mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure design—with an emphasis on energy-efficient solutions. From creating construction-ready drawings to supporting design coordination with engineers and vendors, you’ll play a key role in shaping innovative, sustainable environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development and organization of all project-specific CAD deliverables under the direction and supervision of the CAD Manager.
• Translate engineering redlines and design concepts into accurate AutoCAD and Revit drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, diagrams, schedules).
• Collaborate with construction and engineering teams to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to internal CAD standards and industry codes.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external consultants.
• Mentor and train production designers on CAD standards, new features, and best practices.
• Help implement new tools or workflows to improve design efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain clean, organized project files with version control and backup processes.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or similar (Bachelor’s in Construction Science is a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.
• Proficiency in creating construction documents and redline conversions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in collaborative design teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AutoCAD MEP.
• Familiarity with HVAC design and mechanical systems.
• Background in energy efficiency, sustainability, or infrastructure projects.
