Job summary

DIS-TRAN Steel, located in Pineville, LA, invites applications for a CAD Operator I to join our fabrication team. You will create erection and detailed drawings of steel structures and prepare bill of materials for manufacturing.

You will coordinate with engineers and project coordinators to translate drawings and correct errors, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery at the Plant location. A strong math background and AutoCAD experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical 2 year degree in AutoCAD preferred.
• AutoCAD experience and technical competency is required.
• A strong math background is required for this position.
• The ideal candidate shall be a team player, detail oriented, great at multi-tasking and time management.

Responsibilities

• CAD Operator I creates erection and detailed drawings of steel structures for fabrication.
• Creates bill of materials and digital files for fabrication at the DIS-TRAN Steel Plant location.
• Coordinates with Engineers and Project Coordinators to translate drawings and / or correct errors as needed by the Plant.
