Job summary

DIS-TRAN Steel in Pineville, LA is seeking a CAD Operator I to join our fabrication team. The role progresses from CAD Trainee or requires basic AutoCAD skills to produce erection and detailed drawings of steel structures for fabrication.

Responsibilities include creating bills of materials and digital fabrication files, and coordinating with Engineers and Project Coordinators to translate drawings and correct errors as needed by the Plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical 2 year degree in AutoCAD preferred
• AutoCAD experience and technical competency is required
• A strong math background is required for this position
• The ideal candidate shall be a team player, detail oriented, great at multi-tasking and time management

Responsibilities

• Create erection and detailed drawings of steel structures for fabrication
• Create bill of materials and digital files for fabrication at thePlant location
• Coordinate with Engineers and Project Coordinators to translate drawings and correct errors as needed by the Plant
