Job summary

Maine Steel, a division of Tech Air, is seeking an initiative-taking CAD Detailer/Drafts-person to join our fast-paced design and engineering team. You will translate architectural and structural plans into fabrication-ready shop drawings and erection plans, working closely with project managers, estimators, and our shop floor.

Experience with 2–3+ years drafting miscellaneous metals or structural steel is required, with Tekla/Trimble/AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3+ years drafting and detailing miscellaneous metals or structural steel.
• Software proficiency: Tekla/Trimble/AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication, field installation constraints, and building codes.

Responsibilities

• As a Miscellaneous Metals CAD Detailer, translate architectural and structural plans into fabrication-ready shop drawings and erection plans.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and the shop floor to ensure metal components are code-compliant and detail-oriented.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and constructible for fabrication and installation.
