Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a CAD/Modeling TechIntern to support the VDC team on live projects in Texas. This in-person internship provides hands-on experience with laser scanning, BIM, and 3D modeling, collaborating with field personnel and learning industry workflows.

You'll process point clouds, create 2D/3D maps in Revit, Civil 3D, and Cyclone, and assist with quality control and marketing materials while developing technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying or Geomatics or related field.
• Familiarity with point cloud processing and BIM software is expected.
• Experience with field collaboration and basic data organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and archive point cloud files from field project members.
• Publish point cloud data using Leica Register 360 and related software.
• Develop 2D/3D maps and models in Revit, Civil 3D, Cyclone from survey data.
• Verify model accuracy against survey control.
• Create conceptual models and visualizations for marketing materials.
