Job Description

Are you an experienced mechanical technician with strong CAD skills looking for a position with a leading company? R&E Automated Systems is seeking a CAD Mechanical Technician to join our team. We are an industry-leading technical resource firm supporting manufacturing clients during build, launch, and production, including some of the nation's biggest companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Position Duties

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and technical drawings
• Support manufacturing operations with technical expertise
• Perform quality inspections and measurements using precision instruments
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on technical projects
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs and changes
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure completion of all assigned tasks

Skills Required

• 2+ years experience in mechanical design/drafting using CAD software
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD programs (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with precision measurement tools and techniques
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to multi-task efficiently
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills
• Experience with Automated Mobile Robots (AMR) or Automated Mobile Vehicles (AMV) is a plus
• CMM experience is a plus

Education

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or related field.
