Job Description / Responsibilities

This position requires a motivated candidate that can fulfill duties as a Mechanical Technician / Fabricator that is skilled in running machining equipment and has a strong skill set welding with MIG & TIG. A candidate for this position should have an experience level with technical abilities that are suitable to properly operate machine shop equipment to build mechanical assemblies and components with a great deal of precision. As a technician here it will be a plus to have experience using CAD/CAM software and experience reading detailed drawings to plan layouts and procedures for fabrication processes. Other fabricator job responsibilities here will require following proper safety precautions along with maintaining machine shop equipment and proper tool care along with keeping clean work areas.

In summary the candidate will assist R&D engineers with the following tasks.

• Prototyping
• Machining
• Fabrication
• Welding
• Assembling
• Maintaining Shop Equipment

Required Education / Qualifications

The qualified candidate should have a strong background in a technical program with an emphasis in machine building. The candidate should have good problem solving skills, with good communication and interpersonal skills. As a plus this person should have knowledge using CAD / CAM programs. Additional requirements are listed:

• High level of experience using machine shop equipment, tools and MIG & TIG welders.
• Experience with CAD / CAM software, preferably SolidWorks and MACH 4.
• Have a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and guidance.
• Ability to work 40 hours / week on site at the company main office.
• The ability to travel occasionally.
• Minimum education: High School or GED

Additional Requirements

This job requires you to be either a US or a US Permanent , due to State Department Regulations regarding ITAR related programs.
