General Summary:
Responsible for installing, adjusting, calibrating, testing, fabricating, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing all hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the DPM system.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with DTC policies and procedures related to work orders and safety programs.
- Follow established procedures and technical methods for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain and repair electromechanical vehicle, track, guideway, and facility subsystems.
- Participate in emergency response plans and teams for unplanned events.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and interpret technical diagrams.
- Act as Quick Response Person (QRP) for immediate assessments.
- Recommend hardware or procedural improvements.
- Conduct safety and functional tests on vehicles and subsystems.
- Document maintenance activities and materials used.
- Incorporate safety into all job functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in maintenance of mechanical systems for heavy transportation, preferably rail transit
- At least two years of experience with electro-mechanical systems
Preferred:
- Technical school diploma (minimum two-year program)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, HVAC, and drainage systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and operate electronic devices and pressure transducers.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, safety practices, and basic welding techniques.
Working Environment:
- Ability to work in various physical environments and conditions.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Other Requirements:
- Background check, physical exam, drug screen, and valid driver’s record.
- Certification to operate DPM systems (e.g., train driver certification).
