Job summary

Wayne Homes in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Draftsperson to turn floorplans into build-ready designs. You’ll collaborate with sales to capture customer customizations and ensure prints meet deadlines.

Our CAD team uses AutoCAD and related tools; you’ll grow with the company through learnings about construction processes and contract-readiness, while delivering accurate, detailed plans for unique home builds.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to work in group settings or independently.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in general computer use and software.
• Previous experience with CAD software is required.
• Residential construction knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modify floorplans using mark-ups and contract descriptions.
• Collaborate with salespeople to implement customer customizations.
• Learn and use CAD design software, primarily AutoCAD.
• Gain understanding of different construction process elements.
• Meet scheduled deadlines for completion of prints.
