Job summary

North Coast Design Build, LLC in Ohio is seeking a skilled Construction AutoCAD Project Draftsman to produce accurate, detailed technical drawings for commercial construction projects. You will work closely with the in-house lead project designer and engineer, translating concepts and field conditions into high-quality construction documents in line with CAD guidelines.

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and the ability to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.

Qualifications

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required; 3D a plus).
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil and MEP drawings.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Create and revise AutoCAD drawings including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, structural and framing details, and MEP drawings.
Convert sketches, markups, and PDFs into accurate CAD files.
Coordinate drawings with the lead project designer, in-house engineer, and project managers.
Maintain organized CAD files and drawing logs.
Assist with permit, bid, and construction documents.
Update drawings based on field conditions and RFIs.
Meet project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
