Job summary

Galaxy Lifts is seeking a Manufacturing Drafter to join a growing team focused on creating precise layouts and drawings for vertical platform and cargo lift systems. The role balances hands-on drafting with contributing to engineering strategy.

You will work with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor, supporting production docs, manuals, and specifications while collaborating with vendors, sales, and operations. This is an on-site Texas opportunity with relocation options.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years SolidWorks experience; AutoCAD and Inventor a plus.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment; construction exposure a plus.
• Strong mechanical mindset with product development and project management.
• Growth and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for product development.
• Highest standards of accuracy in drafting and detailing.
• Comfortable interacting professionally with vendors, sales, ops and customers.
• Local to Mabank-Athens, TX or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed manufacturing and layout drawings using CAD for vertical platform and cargo lift systems.
• Assist in production of internal drawings, schematics, manuals, and specification sheets.
• Assist in expanding the capabilities of the Engineering team.
• Develop understanding of ASTM, ANSI, ISO, AA standards.
• Occasional travel or site visits may be required.
• Research and provide product solutions to dealers and end-users.
• Test new products to verify design intent by virtual or physical methods.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve drawings, costs, and manufacturing methods.
• Manage administrative systems including ERP, CRM, and PDM.
