Job summary

Jobot is seeking a CAD Drafter to join our engineering team in DeKalb, IL. This on-site role focuses on creating detailed drawings using AutoCAD 3D and AutoCAD, and collaborating with engineers to ensure design accuracy and project success.

The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of CAD drafting experience, proficiency in drafting automation and solid modeling, and strong attention to detail. A related engineering degree is preferred, with solid communication and time-management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of CAD Drafting experience with AutoCAD 3D and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in drafting automation and solid modeling.
• Excellent technical drawing skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of engineering terminology and principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality detailed design drawings and plans using AutoCAD 3D and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and generate designs.
• Utilize drafting automation and solid modeling techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Review all drawings for errors and potential problems before submission.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest CAD software and technology.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, client specifications, and industry standards.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
