Jobot is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our engineering team in Indianapolis. You will create detailed designs using CAD tools, with a focus on AutoCAD, and leverage Microstation/Geopak experience where applicable.

Bridge design and rebar detailing will be central to the role, complementing collaboration with engineers on complex projects. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a similar role, strong drawing skills, and the drive to stay current with CAD advancements.

Qualifications

• Degree in drafting or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar engineering role.
• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD.
• Experience in bridge design and rebar detailing.

Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CAD Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of complex and challenging projects, where you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD with preference to those with Microstation/Geopak, bridge design, and rebar detailing experience. Responsibilities

1. 1. Using CAD software, to produce detailed designs and technical drawings for engineering projects.
2. 2. Collaborating with engineers and other professionals to understand project requirements and translate these into detailed technical plans.
3. 3. Designing and detailing bridge structures, including the preparation of rebar detailing plans.
4. 4. Checking and verifying design drawings to adhere to specifications and design data.
5. 5. Participating in project meetings and providing technical support to the engineering team.
6. 6. Ensuring all drawings and designs meet quality and safety standards.
7. 7. Managing and coordinating with other CAD Technicians on the team to ensure project deadlines are met.
8. 8. Continuously updating knowledge and staying current with new technologies and CAD software advancements.

Qualifications
