Job summary

Innovance, Inc. is seeking a skilled CAD drafter at the Lou-Rich facility in Minnesota to translate sketches into precise CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.

You will provide engineering support, create customer approval drawings, and maintain product masters while ensuring dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements are clearly defined. This role requires collaboration with engineers and technicians, and a strong grounding in manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• One to two years’ college or trade school education in mechanical drawing and related areas is helpful.
• Well-rounded, practical experience may be substituted for formal training.
• Able to move from design concept to finished drawing with dimensions and tolerances.
• Minimum five years’ on-the-job experience in drafting.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and machine shop practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of detailed drawings for manufactured products.
• Create customer approval drawings for new designs.
• Maintain engineering drawings and product masters.
• Review customer drawings and engineering specifications.
• Support large projects and production applications with drafting expertise.
