Job summary
L&M Radiator, Inc. in northern Minnesota is seeking a Drafting/Design Team member to design and revise engineering drawings, BOMs, and layouts aligned with standards and ECOs.
You will collaborate with internal customers to ensure prints are production-ready and meet specifications using SolidWorks and related PLM/ERP tools. The ideal candidate has 2-year Mechanical Drafting training with SolidWorks or 3–10 years manufacturing experience, plus hands-on experience with sheet metal weldments,
Qualifications
- 2-year degree in Mechanical Drafting with SolidWorks Experience, or
- 3–10 years of manufacturing experience in a similar role.
- 3–5 years of detailed sheet metal drawings and weldments.
- Knowledge of PDM/PLM systems (Team Center, SmarTeam, etc.).
- Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor.
- Lean manufacturing, 5S or Six Sigma experience.
Responsibilities
- Review drawing requests and ECOs to design and revise drawings/models.
- Coordinate with requesters to discuss scope, time, and approvals.
- Develop layouts, models, and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare BOMs and detailed scale drawings for production.
- Input data for products and verify accuracy of others
- Assist with plotting, filing and drafting tasks as needed.
- Travel domestically or internationally as required by projects.
