Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a CAD Designer I to support mechanical engineering with SolidWorks drawings and models for satellites, spacecraft and aerospace systems. You will ensure drawings meet requirements, tolerances and standards while collaborating across a small startup team.

You will manage CAD data, generate drawings, and implement changes. A technical degree and at least one year of CAD experience are required, with strong communication and attention to detail valued.

Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree in CAD or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of CAD experience with SolidWorks.
• Ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD drawing support (SolidWorks Drawings) throughout development.
• Create/modify product models, drawings and documentation.
• Identify issues in CAD designs and implement corrective actions.
• Manage mechanical data files and drawings.
• Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders.
• Input data and manage hardware structures in SolidWorks PDM.
