Job description

Our client, a designer, manufacturer, and supplier of precision step motors and motion control products, is looking for a CAD Designer at their Morgan, CA location.

Key qualifications include: 3+ years in product design and engineering change management (ECN/ECO), proficient in SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk, Pro/E or similar 3D CAD. A Bachelors degree or relevant experience is required.

Salary: $40 - 45 per hour

Work hours: 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities

• ECN Execution: Process and formally close out pending Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) across production workflows.
• CAD & Documentation Updates: Revise and maintain accurate 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Error Correction: Identify and resolve design or documentation inaccuracies discovered throughout the change management process.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate change implementations seamlessly across manufacturing, purchasing, and external supplier teams.
• Quality & RMA Support: Support Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) investigations when design or documentation changes are identified as the root cause.

Qualifications

Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk, Pro/E or similar 3D CAD.
