Job summary

Addictive Desert Designs, based in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a CAD Designer to turn bold ideas into manufacturable reality. You’ll create SolidWorks models, build 3D sheet metal and tubular assemblies, and work with a prototype team to move products from concept to production.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, translate revisions into manufacturable drawings, and contribute to a fast-paced shop environment. Starting wage is $27/hour with advancement based on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong SolidWorks skills and ability to create sheet metal and tubular parts.
• 1 year of experience designing automotive or aerospace products.
• Experience with tooling and fixtures and turning a 3D model into a physical part.
• Knowledge of machining processes for final parts.
• Experience collaborating with an engineering team and producing measured drawings.
• Creative mindset with the discipline to translate ideas into manufacturable assemblies.
• Self-motivated, assertive, in a fast-paced shop where priorities shift quickly.
• Team-first attitude and English fluency.
• Starting at $27.00 per hour with advancement based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models in SolidWorks daily — from templates, physical parts, or your own designs.
• Build complex 3D sheet metal and tubular assemblies ready for manufacturing.
• Process 3D scans and create scanned mesh models of vehicle data for new product development.
• Partner with the prototype engineering team to move new products into automation and production.
• Take open instructions on part and assembly revisions and run with them.
