Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking an Applications Engineer I to support ESPRIT CAD/CAM solutions in the Midwest. This role provides pre-sales and post-sales technical support, helping customers implement and utilize Hexagon’s CAD/CAM software within manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background and an interest in CAD/CAM, CNC machining, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing processes.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex software.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for ESPRIT CAD/CAM software solutions.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers, helping troubleshoot software and application challenges.
• Support customers with implementation and effective use of Hexagon Production Software solutions.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to relay customer feedback for product improvements.
• Develop customized software and application solutions to meet customer needs.
• Create and deliver technical training materials and curriculum for customers and partners.
• Conduct demonstrations, training sessions, and on-site support as needed.
• Travel to customer facilities to execute projects and provide advanced training.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
