Job summary

Crystal Stairs, Inc. seeks a CACFP Specialist to ensure nutrition services align with state and federal guidelines. Under supervision, you will track and maintain nutrition records, manage meal orders and invoicing, and monitor meal claiming.

You will also support teachers and family services staff with CACFP resources and policy implementation. The role emphasizes knowledge of CACFP regulations, strong data entry, and collaboration with program staff to sustain high standards of nutrition

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in early childhood education, nutrition or related field.
• One year of CACFP experience within head start, with detailed record keeping and strong communication, computer/database skills.
• Knowledge of CACFP Regulations, Head Start standards, and health and nutrition principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing and monitoring the Nutrition Service Area Plan annually.
• Establish policies for nutrition services with parents and staff.
• Administer and comply with CACFP and Head Start regulations.
• Estimate daily or weekly needs and requisition food supplies and equipment.
• Serve as the CACFP resource for teachers, home visitors and family services staff.
