Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.
• Working knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate CDS vehicles.
• Proficient with Google Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious breakfast, lunch & snacks for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, following CACFP guidelines.
• Maintain CACFP program records, daily meal count and complete monthly reporting requirements.
• Submit monthly CACFP claims for reimbursement.
• Attend necessary training to stay abreast of CACFP requirements.
• Document and adhere to food allergies.
• Prepare and/or arrange food for special occasions.
• Shop for food and supplies for the center.
• Complete purchase requisitions and code them according to CACFP requirements.
• Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes the kitchen and other assigned areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to the appropriate location in the kitchen area.
• Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.
• Maintain supplies in all first aid and clean up kits.
