Job summary

Cherokee Federal seeks a seasoned Contracts Specialist to deliver full lifecycle contracting support for DoD programs across Langley AFB and related sites. You will assist COs in pre-award, award, and post-award activities in alignment with FAR and USAF supplements.

The role requires 8+ years in contracting, knowledge of SPS/CON-IT/KTFS, and the ability to obtain CAC clearance. On-site duties at multiple bases are expected.

Qualifications

• Completed BA/BS or MA/MS degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in pre-award, award, and post-award functions in contracting.
• Level II APDP/DAWIA Contracting Certification or the commercial equivalent courses required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software (CON-IT, KTFS, SAM, IRAPT/PIEE).

Responsibilities

• Provide support for F-22 FTU Beddown and other 633 CONS requirements/projects as directed.
• Contract management support per FAR, DoD, USAF guidelines and local policy.
• Mentorship & Training; Contract Review Committee; Contract Management Support; other duties as assigned.
• Pre-Award: assist with specifications, market research, solicitations, and award planning.
• Award: assist negotiations, abstracts, SAM verification, and award documentation.
• Post-Award: monitor performance, administer contracts, modify documents, and closeouts.
