Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to install, terminate & test low voltage cables and fiber optic cables
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity with hand/power tools
• Knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards and NEC

Responsibilities

• Install cable pathway systems (trays, racks, J-hooks, D-rings)
• Terminate, test, label and document cable runs
• Dress and route cables to telecom closets and work areas
• Build out telecom and equipment rooms
• Fire-stop cable penetrations as required
• Test and document test results for cabling
• Promote and follow EH&S policies
• Report changes or issues to contacts as needed
