Job summary

Instrata is seeking a skilled Cable Installer to lay out, install, terminate, test, and document low voltage cabling and fiber in a Raleigh area facility. You will work with telecom closets, equipment rooms, and pathway systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to install, terminate & test low voltage cables and fiber optic cabling.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with tools.

Responsibilities

• Install cable pathway systems (trays, racks, J-hooks, D-rings).
• Install, terminate, test, label and document horizontal and backbone cables.
• Dress and route cables into telecom closets and work areas.
• Build out telecom and equipment rooms.
• Fire-stop various cable penetrations.
• Test, troubleshoot and document test results for cabling.
• Adhere to ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards and NEC.
• Follow EH&S policies and report scope changes.
