Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Cable Tray Welder for 1st Shift in Sherman, TX. The role involves welding and fabricating products, reading prints, and maintaining quality documentation. Core hours are 6:00am–2:00pm with overtime as needed.

Expect to set up and operate MIG/TIG welding equipment, troubleshoot issues, and uphold 5S and continuous improvement practices. Requires HS diploma and local residency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year mig/tig welding
• AWS Weld Certified
• Minimum of one (1) year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and using simple measuring tools
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment specifically for the welding and fabrication of products.
• Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment.
• Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
• ID and tag shop orders with the product. Retrieve/enter data into the system.
• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
• Weld components based on print specifications.
• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
