Cable Technician

Seymour, IN

Pay From: $22.00 per hour

MUST:

• Experienced Cable Technician with 5+ years of experience
• Experience terminating cables
• CAT5e/6 experience
• Experience in identifying, installing, and repairing infrastructure cabling
• Experience in low voltage cabling
• Ability to work in small spaces
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs
• Must have basic tools and reliable transportation
• Experience in conduit installation is a plus

DUTIES:

• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain various cabling infrastructures
• Pull, route, and terminate cables including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic
• Perform site surveys to determine optimal installation routes and methods
• Terminate RJ45 connectors via CAT5E/6 following industry standards
• Ensure cables are neatly routed, dressed, and bundled
• Install cabling support components such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
• Install IT equipment including routers, switches, cameras, and wireless devices
• Conduct tests to confirm operational status of installed cable systems and devices
• Troubleshoot device and cabling issues
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards during installation
