Job summary

TEKsystems in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician (-entry to experienced) for contract-to-hire on local project-based work. You will install CAT5/CAT6 and fiber, read drawings, and work on commercial sites.

Low Voltage Cable Technician (Entry-Level to Experienced)

Location: Project-Based / Travel to Local Job Sites

Schedule: Full-Time, 40-45 Hours Per Week

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (Permanent Opportunity After 6 Months)

Overview

We are seeking motivated Low Voltage Cable Technicians ranging from entry-level candidates looking to start a skilled trade career to experienced technicians seeking long-term stability and growth. This position focuses exclusively on low voltage and structured cabling systems, including CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling.

Responsibilities
  • Pull, route, and install CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling
  • Assist with cable terminations, labeling, and testing
  • Install cable pathways, supports, and related infrastructure

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwalk,CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
