Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Contract to Hire Cable Installer for a fully onsite role in Fort Myers, FL. You will pull, route, and manage CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber cabling through trays and conduits, terminate and test copper and fiber with Fluke tools, and assemble racks and cable pathways.

Strong safety focus mandatory and BICSI certifications preferred. Responsibilities include system maintenance, labeling and documenting cabling, and reading blueprints for accurate builds.

Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of low-voltage cabling systems and standard practices.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Tools Familiarity: Proficiency with crimpers, punch-down tools, and cable testers.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
• Certifications: Often requires or prefers BICSI certifications

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
