TEKsystems is seeking motivated Low Voltage Cable Technicians for project-based travel to local job sites in Massachusetts. The role spans entry-level to experienced technicians focused on low voltage and structured cabling (CAT5, CAT6, fiber).

This contract-to-hire opportunity offers hands-on training and long-term growth. Responsibilities include pulling and installing cable, assisting with terminations, reading drawings, and maintaining safety on commercial sites.

Low Voltage Cable Technician (Entry-Level to Experienced)

*Location:* Project-Based / Travel to Local Job Sites

*Schedule:* Full-Time, 40-45 Hours Per Week

*Employment Type:* Contract-to-Hire (Permanent Opportunity After 6 Months)

Overview We are seeking motivated Low Voltage Cable Technicians ranging from entry-level candidates looking to start a skilled trade career to experienced technicians seeking long-term stability and growth. This position focuses exclusively on low voltage and structured cabling systems, including CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling.

Responsibilities

• * Pull, route, and install CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling
• * Assist with cable terminations, labeling, and testing
• * Install cable pathways, supports, and related infrastructure
• * Read and interpret basic construction drawings and cable layouts
• * Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• * Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
• * Work alongside experienced technicians on commercial projects

Required Skills

• * Structured cabling experience preferred
• * Knowledge of CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling

• * Low voltage or telecommunications background
• * Ability to work on construction sites and follow safety procedures
• * Reliable transportation to travel directly to job sites
