TEKsystems has a fully onsite contract-to-hire role in Fort Myers, FL for a cable installation specialist. You will pull, route and manage CAT5e/6/6A and fiber cabling through trays and conduits, terminate and test copper and fiber, and assist in infrastructure build-out. Safety and accurate documentation are essential.

The position emphasizes blueprints reading, equipment testing with Fluke analyzers, and adherence to OSHA/NFPA standards. Fort Myers local presence is required.

Description

Cable Installation: Pull, route, and manage CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic cabling through cable trays, racks, and conduits.

Termination & Testing: Terminate copper (patch panels, jacks) and fiber (LC, SC) connectors; test and certify links with equipment like Fluke analyzers.

Infrastructure Build-out: Install racks, cabinets, cable pathways, and supporting hardware.

System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, identify, and repair cabling faults and connectivity issues.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures (OSHA, NFPA), including safe use of ladders and lift equipment.

Documentation: Label all cables and ports, and update documentation or as-built drawings

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Myers, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
