Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking motivated Cable Technicians to support a large-scale data center build project in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on structured cabling with hands-on opportunities for those looking to gain experience in a fast-growing industry.

You will assist senior technicians, pull and route cables, install trays and racks, and ensure proper testing and safety on the job site. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity on a long-term project.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of structured cabling experience.
  • Experience pulling, routing, and terminating cable.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a construction environment.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and at heights.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have basic hand tools and be comfortable using power tools.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred or ability to obtain prior to start.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and route network and communications cabling.

  • Build telecommunications closets and install supporting hardware.

  • Support fiber optic and copper cabling installations.
  • Follow safety procedures and project standards.

Long-Term Data Center Project | Entry-Level Opportunity

We're seeking motivated Cable Technicians to support a large-scale data center build project. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with structured cabling experience who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing industry while working on a long-term project.

What You'll Do

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
