Job summary

ImpellamGroup in Cedar Rapids is seeking a skilled technician with experience in structured cabling to support U.S. construction projects. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in structured cabling or related construction and can read and write English.

Color code differentiation is essential for accurate installations. Candidates will manage materials, assist with pre-job planning, and interface professionally with customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Know about the different materials and methodologies involved with the installation of a structured cabling system.
• Effectively manage time, manpower & materials.
• Perform pre-job construction and planning activities.
• Interface with customers on a professional level.
• Manage materials for multiple projects.
• Assist with training of Technician I & II.
• Assist customers in design and purchasing.
• Deliver assignments within schedule and budget in accordance to E2 standards.
• Preform job closeout and as-built drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, dependable and exercise efficient time management at the jobsite.
• Demonstrate accountability for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Exhibit a positive attitude.
• Solid team player.
• High attention to detail with demonstrated ability to source and follow standards.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to work effectively in versatile work environments.
• Schedules may vary depending on customer or construction. Over Time is required on some projects and possible nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work various heights from platform lifts.
